The specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
- Application Review: Selection committee members will evaluate the applications submitted by early-stage startups/innovators/ tech entrepreneurs interested in joining the program. They will review the materials provided by applicants such as about their innovation/idea, business plan, pitch decks, technology descriptions, etc. Members will score the applications based on the criteria based on provided material.
- Due Diligence: The committee will conduct due diligence on the applicants, which may involve verifying claims, assessing the technology’s readiness, evaluating the business model, and checking references. Due diligence helps ensure that selected innovations and startups are credible and have the potential to succeed.
- Mentor matching: After selecting the innovations and startups, the committee members along with program organizers and advisors match Mentees with suitable Mentors based on their need and objectives.
